Here is the big day, kick off time 4pm. Djoko vs Tsitsipas. As i have foreseen, the Serb has beaten the unbeatable Rafa in semis, thanks to his tactical approach. He has played 75% of his shot on Rafa's backhand. That was the winning approach. Stefanos went through a very tough match vs Zverev. The key moment was the first game of the last set, when the german had three break points that he could not convert. That was the turning point of the match. Anyway, today my bet goes for Tsitsipas! Why? Firstly, his appetite to win his first Grand Slam. Secondly, he has many options in his game, he can serve and volley, be agressive in his game, and he is twelve years younger than Djoko. It may be a crucial factor if the match last over three hours. Finally, there is a statistic in RG. If you beat Rafa you loose the final! It happened only twice of course since the spanish lost only three matches in the French Open. In 2009, Soderling beated him in last 16 but lost to Roger in the final. In 2015, Djoko did the same in semis and lost two days later in final vs Stan Wawrincka. So....will the story be repeated today? I think so, and whatever happens, be sure that will be a fantastic fight, both players are at their top, it is sunny in Paris and the crowd will be fully supporting the Greek. Have a good match!!
