-    Russia has been called upon to protect the Montreux Convention, which guarantees the Black Sea to be a 'Sea of Peace' …
- The United States has applied within the framework of Montreux to take 2 warships to the Black Sea…
- Russia-Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived on April 10 for the 9th Turkey-Ukrainian High-Level Cooperation Council (ÜDİK) meeting at a stage when tensions have risen. Turkey supports Ukraine's territorial integrity and the existence of ‘internationally recognised borders', Erdogan-Zelensky said in a joint statement following the talks. CB Erdogan stressed that "Turkey-Ukrainian co-operation is in no way an attempt against a third country," noting his intention to maintain good relations with Russia.
"In the light of Turkey's plans to build Canal Istanbul, the Russian side stressed the importance of preserving the current regime in the Black Sea Straits in accordance with the provisions of the 1936 Montreux Convention for regional stability and security," Putin said in an official statement of the Kremlin Palace.
-    Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Mariya Zaharova said at her weekly press conference that there is no alternative to the Montreux Straits Convention, and they hope that Turkey will take a responsible approach to compliance with this agreement.
-    President Erdoğan said in his statement following the declaration of retired admirals at the beginning of last week, "Despite everything, we consider the gains Montreux has provided to our country important and we continue our commitment to this convention until we find the opportunity for better”.

- Turkey has taken command of NATO's Very Emergency Response Force of 6,400 troops from Poland as of Christmas. 4,200 Turkish soldiers serve in this NATO force. In a possible Russian-Ukrainian conflict, if NATO's intervention alongside Ukraine is raised, this force led by the Turkish Armed Forces will carry out the operation!
-    The Russian-populated Donbas Region in Ukraine (Donetsk and Lugansk) is also on the Ukrainian-Russian border. The pro-Russian Ukrainian army has piled up in the populated Donbas, which wants to join Russia, while Russia has recently deployed 20,000 troops to the Donbas border region and has also launched a widely participated exercise there. The United States has pledged its support for Ukraine and is trying to bring NATO into play in this framework. Ukrainian President Zelensky met with NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg and formally announced Ukraine's request for NATO membership. Stoltenberg responded that ‘NATO strongly supports Ukraine, that Ukraine stands by it’.
-    İYİ Party Chairman Meral Akşener and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's CHP Mayor Mansur Yavaş, who issued a commemoration message on the anniversary of the Bar Massacre against Uighur Turks, were exposed to the implicit threat of the Chinese Ambassador. While Akşener and Yavaş responded strongly to the Ambassador, having gained the support of Beijing, the government party remained silent.
-    This silence, claimed to be due to economic expectations from China, ended when Italian Prime Minister Draghi called President Erdogan a ‘dictator’ and the situation caused quite a stir!
-    Protocol scandal marked visits to Ankara by European Council President Charles Michel and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. While the EU proposed the ‘green industry' condition for the Customs Union Revision, visa liberalisation did not even mention the name of full membership talks. Turkey's expectations of hosting millions of Syrians and the withdrawal of Turkish troops from Libya have been conveyed!
-    The incident, which overshadowed many important issues discussed during this critical meeting between Turkey and the EU after a long break, was reflected on the front pages of the world media and television screens with the headlines of the Chair-Sofa Scandal. EU Commission President von der Leyen's survival and lack of seating space sparked criticism.
-    While the EU officials' Visit to Ankara is overshadowed by the complexity of the protocol, the only tangible consequence is the agreement to renew the Refugee Agreement for a higher amount.

-    Turkey was among the top 12 countries in the World Inflation League. The fact that Turkey was among the countries with the highest inflation rate, where almost no country ruled by democracy, brought to mind the question of the inflation-democracy relationship.

-    The IMF's April 2021 Report highlights 12 countries that are expected to have inflation in double digits and more than 10 per cent this year. In this category, Turkey differs from both European countries and G20 countries as' NEGATIVE '. When we look at the countries with inflation above 10 per cent and envisioned by the IMF that they will be in the same category this year, Turkey is the only European country. The IMF's April 2021 Global Economic Outlook Report projects inflation to be above 10 per cent, and the 2021 inflation expectation is as follows:
1. Venezuela 5.500
2. Zimbabwe 99,3
3. Suriname 52,1
4. South Sudan 40
5. Iran 39
6. Yemen 30.6
7. Haiti 20,5
8. Libya 18,2
9. Turkey 13.6
10. Liberia 10.9
11.Republic of Congo 10.9
12.Uzbekistan 10.3
